The purpose of this church shall be to carry out the commission given to the church by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen

It is the resolve of Second Baptist Church, that we are Christ's bride, adorned and prepared for him. As the body of Christ, we will minister to our community and beyond by witnessing and by ministering to each age, culture and need that God brings us in contact with.
We will equip the saints for ministry and service to meet the needs of the body as we have the opportunity.
We will be Christ's example and his visible presence before each other and to those in the world.
The Bible, under the leadership of the Holy spirit, will be our sole authority and the basis of our preaching, teaching and direction.
Second Baptist Church will, first, be a place of worship of the living God and experience HIM corporately and in a personal life-changing way.
In addition, this Church will be a place of fellowship and refuge for both the members of the body and those HE give us to minister to.
